Specializing in stream and wetland restoration since 2003.
Founded in 2003 and licensed as a general contractor in 2004, Fluvial Solutions was built on a foundation of extensive training and experience in natural resource ecosystem assessment and management, restoration design, and construction oversight.
This foundation combined with a love for the natural environment led our company to be a leader in the construction of ecological restoration and green infrastructure practices. We have dedicated more than two decades to implementing sustainable and cost-effective projects that contribute to healthier and more resilient ecosystems and water management practices with lasting environmental, economic, and social benefits. Our proficiency in operating heavy equipment for specialized environmental grading, installing restoration structures, stabilizing sites to prevent erosion and planting vegetation is unmatched by anyone else in the region.
Experience
Fluvial Solutions has built numerous stream and wetland enhancement and restoration projects and green infrastructure projects in Wake County, North Carolina, and Newport News and Hampton Roads, Virginia. Most notably, in 2007, Fluvial completed the first-of-its-kind stormwater wetland for the City of Raleigh at Fred Fletcher Park.
Subsequently, we have completed numerous stormwater bio-retention basins at the Raleigh Fleet Services Facility off Peace Street, along with five additional green infrastructure projects at four City fire stations and one EMS station.
Most recently, Fluvial completed the Raleigh Rose Garden Stormwater Improvements Project, a collaboration between Raleigh’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources departments and Raleigh’s Stormwater Department. Budgets for these projects ranged from $300,000 to $1.2 Million.
